Emergency Shelter Conversion

This project consisted of the renovation and conversion of an existing 6,500 SF church facility into a year-a-round homeless shelter serving 68 clients. Improvements include onsite dining and commercial kitchen, guest services, sleeping facilities, low barrier dorm, accessibility compliance. Energy improvements included envelope insulation, HVAC, and water heater upgrades. Our greatest success on this project was finding the perfect balance between the space available and all the programmatic components required to run a successful program.
